The team of Indonesian Seven Summits Expedition Parahyangan Catholic University from Bandung has come back in Indonesia on Friday (29th/7), Jakarta. The team are Sofyan Arif Pesa (28), Xaverius Frans (24), Broery Andrew Sihombing (22), and Jonathan Ginting (22). Sofyan Arif Pesa said, “For the time being, we don’t plan to climb. We would like to take break before make a fresh start our ekpedition again”. The seven summits expedition was done by them before in December 2011.
The first object of expedition is Carstenz Pyramid’s summit in Papua, Indonesia. The Carstenz pyramid’s summit has 4.884 meter and had climbed successfully by them on February 23rd-26th 2010. It’s not only the one, Sudirman’s mountain range amount to eight had climbed by them. The team also had catched unclimbed summit.
And than, the team goes to Kilimanjaro,Tanzania, Afrika. The highest summit of Afrika has 5.895 meter had climbed successfully again by them on August 10th 2010. After that, the team goes to Elbrus’s Summit in Rusia. East summit of Elbrus has 5.642 meter. The east summit of Elbrus had climbed by the team on August 24th 2010.
The climbing process out there has created a new route and it was given name by Rescuer Elbrus with Indonesian Route as the achievement that had been found it. The two months was taken by the team to break. After break, the team keep on the trip to Vinson Massif’s summit, Antartica. The team is done the successfully the climbing of the highest summit of Antartica (4.897 meter) on December 14th 2010. And than, Aconcagua’s summit (6.962) could also be climbed on January 9th 2011 and January 29th 2011.
Everest and Denali has been the second last summit expedition. Everest’s summit (8.848 meter) had climbed by the team step by step; it was started by Broery Andrew Sihombing, Sofyan Arif Pesa, and Xaverius Frans on May 20th 2011 in Nepal. And the last adventure is Denali’s summit (6.194 meter). The highest summit of Alaska was too difficult from the others. The team had to do the climbing without goods carrier until the trip. Beside that, the weather condition wasn’t out of hoped.
